Privacy Policy

• Overview: Resume Refiner processes the information you enter only to provide its resume and cover-letter refinement features. There’s no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
• Information We Collect: When you create a profile or build a resume, the app stores your name, email, title, contact details, resume drafts, and cover letters locally on your device. Job descriptions and text you paste are treated as user-provided content.
• How We Use Data: Your information is used to save drafts, show your history, and generate new resume or cover-letter versions when you request refinements.
• AI Processing: When you tap “Refine,” the app sends the relevant resume text, job description, and selected settings to OpenAI’s API over HTTPS so the model can produce tailored content. No other third parties receive your data.
• Local Storage & Backups: All saved content stays on your device unless you export it. Because Android Auto Backup is enabled, Google may include this data in encrypted device backups unless you disable system backups.
• Clipboard Access: The app only writes to the clipboard when you explicitly tap copy actions (for example, copying a cover letter or the support email). It never reads clipboard contents automatically.
• Retention & Deletion: Data remains on your device until you delete resumes or letters inside the app, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Resume Refiner. Exported files remain wherever you save them.
• Security: Network requests use HTTPS, and there is no cloud account storing your data beyond the OpenAI request needed for refinements. Avoid pasting information you do not want sent to OpenAI, and protect your device with a passcode.
• Children’s Privacy: Resume Refiner is intended for working-age professionals and is not directed at children under 13.
